What to expect, how long it takes, and how we keep it positive from the start.
The first groom is less about a perfect finish and more about teaching your puppy that the studio is a safe, kind place.
What a first visit looks like
We keep it short. Touch the feet, introduce the dryer softly, maybe a light trim if they are happy. Treats and breaks are part of the plan.
Before you arrive
- A quick walk so they are not bursting with energy
- Their own treats if they have a favourite
- A note about anything they dislike (ears, paws, being lifted)
By the second or third visit, most puppies are already more confident. That is the win we care about.
