Five gentle habits between grooms
Small routines at home that keep coats comfortable and make studio visits easier.
A full groom every few weeks is wonderful. The days in between matter too — especially for longer coats and dogs who hate mats.
Try these at home
- Brush little and often, not one heroic session
- Check ears and paws after muddy walks
- Keep a soft towel for damp coats
- Trim nails only if you are confident — or leave them to us
- Book before the coat becomes a problem

If you hit a tangle you cannot ease through, stop and message us. Pulling through a mat usually hurts more than a careful tidy in the studio.
